  • some personal information about yourself and your background
(e.g. name, age, nationality, interests and education …etc)
  • what your future plans are step by step
  • what you would expect to experience when you are carrying out your plan
  • how you manage your finance to accomplish your future plans.
  • how you adjust your life to achieve your goal
  • how it is so important to have this plan and to achieve your goal
  • anything special which you expect to happen when you are carrying out your plan
  • any information or ideas relevant to your future plan

Conditions:

  • Your talk should be at least two minutes long.
  • You may prepare cue cards, English or Chinese with a maximum of ten words or symbols (you may include visual aids). Your teacher will check these.
  • Speaking order will be by ballot and/or negotiation.
  • Your presentation will be recorded for assessment reference purposes.
  • You must speak clearly – don’t speak too fast.
  • Study the assessment schedule carefully and make sure you know what level of performance is required. The language examples are given as a guide for you, you may use part of them or adapt them, but do not quote them verbatim. Your speech must be your own work.
  • Use as wide a variety of vocabulary (include adverbs such as 很,最) and structures (e.g. 大概有2400个学生左右( watch word order), correctly used prepositions (e.g.) ) as possible.
  • Avoid repetition and lists. Vary your word order – inversion.
  • The date for the assessment is Monday 28 March pm. Ensure that you arrive in good time for your appointment.
